Mark Zimmerman is a woodturner who uses a lathe to create platters, natural-edged and traditional bowls, and vases from hardwoods like ash, cherry, maple, and walnut. He often embellishes his pieces with colored dyes, acrylic paints, wood burnings, and stained glass.

Mark is a retired scientist, Vice President of the Apple Valley Woodturners club in Winchester, Virginia, and a member of the American Association of Woodturners and the Shenandoah Arts Council.
