Yvonne Jarrell lives and works in the village of Chester Gap, in northern Rappahannock County. She served as Little Washington’s postmaster for a decade and often wore to work jewelry she made for herself, without thinking of herself as a jewelry designer. That changed when customers and neighbors began to ask if they could buy her necklaces and earrings.  When she retired from the U.S. Postal Service a couple of years ago, she began her design business.

Entirely self-taught, her jewelry has been on display in galleries and juried art shows and craft fairs in Virginia.
